Tackling Indigenous Smoking
Clean Air Futures

Supported by Ninti One and run under the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Program, our Clean Air Futures Program provides a health promotion approach to education around tobacco, vaping and smoking for pregnant women. Grounded in culturally responsive practice, the program focuses on sharing clear, accessible information about the risks of smoking and vaping during pregnancy, while also highlighting the benefits of smoke-free homes and strong, healthy babies. We work alongside communities to ensure that messages are respectful, strengths-based and relevant to local contexts.

Our team travels across the Northern Territory to deliver Clean Air Futures, meeting women and families where they are. Through group workshops, yarning sessions and one-on-one conversations, we support pregnant women to explore their options, build confidence in making positive changes, and connect with local services that can help them on their journey. By promoting smoke-free environments and empowering women with knowledge and support, the program contributes to healthier futures for mothers, babies and communities.
